Assisting Pastor Sharon Hayles
Pastor Sharon was raised in church (by God fearing parents) and from a young age she always knew that there was a call on her life to serve in the Lord's church.
Pastor Sharon has a passion for people and has spent much of her adult life working largely in community setting with the most vulnerable of society. Starting as a voluntary youth worker focusing upon supporting young people going through the criminal justice system, she provided support and guidance to help the youth seek alternative ways to occupy their time. This experience led to her becoming a Residential Social Worker working with vulnerable children before an opportunity of employment as a Probation Service Assistant presented itself. Pastor Sharon believes that this was all divinely orchestrated by God to bring her to the place where He wanted her to be.
In 1990, funded by the Home Office Pastor Sharon gained a place at Nottingham Trent University where she graduated with a degree in Social Work. She later went onto study at Derby University where she gained a post graduate diploma in Mental Health Social Work as well as studying theology at Nottingham University. Throughout this time Pastor Sharon felt the call of God.
In 1999 she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and personal Saviour and served in her local church within the Women's Ministry as both a board member and a member of the Hospitality ministry, as well as a Sunday School teacher in Children's ministry. Pastor Sharon sat under a pioneering Bishop where she was also able to get involved in a number of impactful initiatives and programmes including senior citizens’ clubs, an employment training centre, day nursery, youth clubs, youth Easter and summer schemes, drop-in advice and guidance centre, prison ministry, food banks, soup kitchens, and coffee mornings. Pastor Sharon has dedicated her life to services and has served on a number of community boards including chairing a Supplementary School and a mental health project.
Pastor Sharon has a deep understanding of the power of prayer as she, along with her siblings would join their prayer warrior grandmother in midnight intercessory prayer. So, when called to become a member of the intercessor prayer ministry, she answered the call.
In October 2023 she became an ordained minister of the gospel where she serves alongside senior Pastors Jermaine and Dion Shaw in ROLWOM. A ministry seeking to preach and teach the gospel to the lost souls of humanity. Welcoming all nations
Mother of two children,as well as grandmother , Pastor Sharon is great believer in Romans 8:28 " ...that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose"and that nothing is by accident or is a coincident, but that everything is by design and for God's greater plan
